THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES

Evidence-Based
Treatment Approaches

We utilize a variety of scientifically proven, compassionate therapies to help you navigate challenges, heal from trauma, and build a more fulfilling life. Your treatment plan will be uniquely tailored to your needs.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. CBT teaches clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more realistic perspectives. Sessions often include skill-building, coping strategies, and practical exercises that clients can apply in daily life.

Beneficial for: Anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, panic disorder, phobias, insomnia, and chronic stress.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a specialized form of CBT designed for individuals who struggle with intense emotions, impulsivity, or chronic patterns of self-harm. It blends acceptance strategies with change-focused skills, helping clients build emotional stability and healthier relationships. DBT emphasizes four core skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Beneficial for: Borderline Personality Disorder, chronic suicidality, self-harm behaviors, emotion dysregulation, eating disorders, and substance use with emotional instability.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps clients develop psychological flexibility by teaching them to accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fight them. Through mindfulness, values exploration, and committed action, clients learn to respond to challenges in ways that align with their personal values. ACT is especially helpful for individuals who feel stuck in cycles of avoidance or fear.

Beneficial for: anxiety, depression, chronic pain, health anxiety, OCD, and stress related to life transitions.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help the brain reprocess distressing memories. Instead of reliving trauma, clients process it in a way that reduces emotional intensity and promotes healing. EMDR is highly effective for both single-incident trauma and complex trauma histories.

Beneficial for: PTSD, childhood trauma, sexual assault recovery, grief, phobias, and anxiety linked to traumatic events.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences, unconscious patterns, and early relationships shape current emotional and relational functioning. Through insight and reflection, clients gain a deeper understanding of their internal world, leading to long-term emotional growth and healthier relationship patterns.

Beneficial for: personality disorders, attachment wounds, chronic relationship difficulties, longstanding emotional struggles, and self-esteem issues.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT)

TFCBT is a structured, evidence-based treatment designed specifically for trauma. It integrates cognitive, behavioral, and family-focused components to help individuals process traumatic experiences safely. TFCBT teaches coping skills, emotional regulation, and gradual exposure to trauma memories in a supportive environment.

Beneficial for: childhood trauma, developmental trauma, PTSD, anxiety related to traumatic events, and behavioral issues linked to trauma.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a compassionate, non-pathologizing therapy that helps clients understand their internal "parts," especially those formed through trauma or emotional pain. Clients learn to connect with their core Self — a calm, centered inner presence — and heal protective or wounded parts. IFS is deeply effective for individuals who feel conflicted, overwhelmed, or fragmented internally.

Beneficial for: complex trauma, PTSD, shame-based disorders, anxiety, depression, and internal conflict.

Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is the gold standard treatment for OCD. It helps clients gradually face feared situations or intrusive thoughts while resisting the urge to engage in compulsive behaviors. Over time, this reduces anxiety and breaks the cycle of obsession and compulsion. ERP is highly structured and produces strong, lasting results.

Beneficial for: OCD, phobias, panic disorder, and avoidance based anxiety.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy focuses on the connection between the mind and body, helping clients notice and release physical tension or stored trauma. Techniques may include breathwork, grounding, movement, and body awareness. This approach is especially helpful for individuals whose trauma or anxiety shows up physically.

Beneficial for: trauma, PTSD, chronic stress, dissociation, anxiety with physical symptoms, and body-based emotional responses.
